What Foundation does NOT include

  • Active incident remediation. That is a separate engagement, scoped and quoted at the time.
  • Configuration changes after initial setup. Pro tier covers ongoing configuration support.
  • On-site visits. Foundation is a remote-managed plan; on-site work can be quoted separately.
  • Endpoint or workstation protection. Security Plus tier covers the network-wide layer.

Saying no clearly is part of the brand promise. You should never feel surprised six months in.

Is Foundation enough for compliance?
For most SMB compliance frameworks (basic SOC 2, NAIC, GLBA), Foundation’s monitoring and patch logs are part of a passing posture — not the entire posture. If you have explicit compliance requirements, Pro or Security Plus is usually the right starting tier. We will tell you which on the first call.
What happens when the warranty replaces my hardware?
We ship a configured replacement device. You ship the failed unit back to us at our cost. Configuration is preserved through the swap. Most replacements complete inside 48 hours of the failure being confirmed.
Can I upgrade from Foundation to Pro later?
Yes, at any time. The hardware does not change; the relationship deepens. Upgrades pro-rate from the current term.
Who actually watches my device?
An always-on AI monitoring layer plus a US-based engineering team that reviews flagged events. The phone gets answered by a real US citizen, every shift. AI handles the volume; the engineers handle the calls that matter.
What if I do not have an IT provider?
Foundation is the wrong tier if no one is handling configuration changes and security incidents. Look at Pro (we handle configuration) or Security Plus (we handle the broader security layer).
